The plain-English overview
We believe privacy information should be useful, not buried in legal jargon. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, the choices you have and how to contact us.
Please note: This page provides the applicable website wording; it is not personal legal advice. Statutory rights always take priority.

Why we use information and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Typical lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Answer enquiries, prepare proposals and take pre-contract steps | Contract or legitimate interests |
| Deliver services, accounts, memberships, orders and support | Contract |
| Invoices, tax, fraud prevention and legal records | Legal obligation or legitimate interests |
| Website security, service improvement and necessary administration | Legitimate interests |
| Optional analytics, advertising and email marketing | Consent where required |
| Defend or establish legal claims | Legitimate interests or legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the purpose, necessity and impact on you. You may object in relevant circumstances. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
How free consultation requests are prioritised
Our free project-consultation form asks about your intended purchase or project, approximate budget, whether funds are allocated, timing, decision-making role, payment preference and expectations about the work involved. A simple rule-based score separates consultation-ready requests, developing projects for follow-up review, and requests better served initially by self-service resources. A lower score does not determine eligibility to buy from BROel or prevent you from contacting us for a human review.
Please do not send bank statements, card details or other financial documents through this form. We do not use sensitive or protected characteristics in this score. You may ask us to review or correct an assessment through the Contact page.
Who receives information
We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers that may include website and cloud hosting, email delivery, customer support/CRM, analytics, anti-spam and security, professional advisers, contractors working under appropriate duties, and payment or e-commerce providers such as WooCommerce and Stripe when enabled. We may disclose information where law requires it, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a genuine business reorganisation.
We do not sell personal information. A supplier must not use information for its own unrelated purposes merely because it processes information for us.
International transfers
Some technology suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we assess the transfer route and use a lawful safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections, where required. You may ask us for more information about the safeguard relevant to your data. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including service delivery, account administration, tax/accounting, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and security. The period depends on the record, contractual limitation periods and legal obligations.
Enquiries that do not progress are reviewed and removed or anonymised when no longer useful; active customer and transaction records may be retained for longer where required for accounting or legal claims; marketing records are kept until you unsubscribe or we determine they are no longer current. Backups expire through controlled retention cycles.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw consent and object to direct marketing at any time. Rights are not absolute; we will explain if an exemption applies.
We may verify identity before acting. We normally respond within one month, although the law permits an extension for complex or numerous requests. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), but we would appreciate the opportunity to resolve the concern first.
Security, children and sensitive information
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, access controls, updates, backups and anti-abuse measures. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please use strong unique passwords and do not send confidential credentials through ordinary forms.
BROel is directed to adults and business users, not children. Please do not submit special-category information—such as health, ethnicity, religion or biometric data—unless we specifically request it and provide a lawful, secure route.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when services, suppliers or law change. The date shown on this page identifies the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted where practical. Contact us through the Contact page for privacy questions, rights requests or accessibility support with this notice.QUICK ANSWERS
Privacy Policy FAQs
Do you sell my personal information?
No. We do not sell personal information. We use it to operate, secure and improve BROel and to deliver requested services.
